Edna and me outside Highfield Church with the choir. 2nd left Eric Hirst, 3rd from right John Aspinall, 6th from right -Ackers(farm) Bert Bullough was the vicar and the gent in the shadows was my dad's cousin Billy Morgans an ex emplyee of the GPO and an ex WW! soldier. Can anyone put names to the other choirboys?

Another lovely photo , Fred. So sad that John Aspinall is no longer with us and passed away so young.
Of the four friends in his group, just one now remains.

Did John Stretton later live on Shevington Lane - sadly died in the mid 1990s?

I knew John's father and mother : Harry and Rene Stretton. They were caretakers at Shevi High and left Highfield St Mathews to go to St Barnabas Marsh Green

John Barry Stretton died 1997 he did live in shevington.

Knew John well, a lovely chap. Used to go fishing with him 20 odd years ago.
