My Grandads medals unfortunately not been kept in good condition

They look fine to me Geoff, apparently the experts suggest you do not try to clean them.

Geoff you probably already know the large bronze medal is the Memorial Plaque issued to the next of kin of all servicemen killed as a result of World War One

The silver medal is the British War Medal for service in World War 1. The other is the 1914-1915 Star awarded to anyone who fought in a theatre of war between 5 August 1914 and 3 December 1915.
