I believe this may be grandchildren of John and Kate Lewis, but I dont know which are the parents, John and Kate had numerous children. Probably taken at the Limes Farm, Standish, nr Wigan c.1950. Can anyone confirm or otherwise?

The 5 year old is me, the two older girls are my cousins June Stockley and Irene Lewis and the baby is my sister Margaret Lewis. We lived at Brimelow Farm (Dunnes) near Beech Hill Cemetary. Limes Farm belonged to my grandfathers brother Bert Lewis. There was some connection with Hindley but can't remember what

Christine, thank you so much for your comment. Could you please look at the Lewis family under "people" also, "unknown" in same category. There is a picture I put on a long time ago of Irene and June you may want to look at. Do you mind if I email you just with a question? This is so wonderful that I can add this info to the Lewis branch of the family tree. I am 62 and live in Australia. My gr grandparents John and Kate's son Fred migrated with Margaret Baron (Wood) to Australia in 1908.

The picture is of John and Kate Lewis's great grandchildren, as my sister Christine has named them. It was taken at Brimelow Farm where they all lived. Grandparents were Annie Eliza (nee Dunn) and William Lewis who was the eldest child of John and Kate. William died in his early 30's, John and Kate did live at the Limes. having moved from Cheshire between 1886 and 1888.

Thank you Kath.. I cant help but feel a certain connection finally to my mother's kin. I was told nothing about this extended part of the family as I grew up or even later. Its all quite exciting to me now!
