An extremely rare visitor! Any ideas how this came about? The adjacent Class 40 (Big D) looks fairly "ex-works" so possibly an open day?

re the reason for the elec being there it had some sort of failure and was dumped till move to Crewe for repair! the 40 was just unusually clean!

Interesting photo - very few pictures of the headshunt off the fueling road seem to exist and the new office block (where the parked cars are) has yet to be built
