what was the main building in this photo? I remember the old town hall but not a clue what this building was.

I think this building might have been part of the Police Station, the main entrance being further up King Street on the right.
The building to the right along Chapel Lane at one time was the Fire Station but I think at this time it had been repurposed as all the ground floor large doors have been bricked up and windows installed.
