Nobody had any money those days but they always made sure their kids were turned out imaculate for those special days.
This brought back memories of how the bottom of Standishgate used to look with the row of shops on the right. Another gem of a photo from Robert. Keep them coming!
nice photo rob i remember the shops billy alkers paper shop,thomas,s toffee shop, has anybody any photos of dicconson st i used to live next door to the shoe shop opposite the school. i think it was called the weslyen school

yes mark jeff is my older brother,he works as a security guard at the grand arcade.did you see the photos of mr rynn, sister christine,doctor campbell.i love looking at the old photos of these places where i grew up.

My son John Birchall is on the end of the 3rd row.We used to live in Swinley Rd. John now lives in Switzerland.

The shoe shop next to the Wesylean School was a Scholl shop.
