I dont think this is Wigan is it?

Broadgate? Never heard of it, and neither has any other Wiganer I know.

I suppose it's Standishgate. Burton's was right next to Woolworth's.

Was there a Broadgate in Wigan? and if so whereabouts.

The building has been burned out,you can see there are no slates on the roof.So wise Wigan historian may know about the fire.

Looks like this may be Coventry in fact.
There used to be a Joe Tarsh Jewellers in Broadgate, Coventry.
Fire damage possible result of blitz?

That isnt wigan, if its supposed to be where I think it is which is Standishgate, the street is too narrow. Sorry Marguerite, you have got that one wrong

looks like dunn & Co on left .their shop in wigan was somewhere on same row as moon under water, or there abouts

hi john davies, do you live in levens place hr ince, i knew a john davies when i was little 50s my mam used to mind him while his mam went to work her name was i think may? we lived in york st hr ince and i think may lived on hemfeild rd my brother still lives in levens place and our mam died over a year ago age 90 r.i.p. mam, please let me know if its you john.
